“Youth Lead!” is Pacific Leadership Institute’s (PIL) teen leadership initiative that trains and develops urban youth to lead PLI’s outdoor adventure programs - including the Fort Miley Adventure Challenge Course, mobile team building and a challenge course at Camp Arroyo. The YL! internship program fosters leadership, community and professionalism through outdoor work experiences, leadership and professional development at SFSU, community service projects and other outdoor adventure opportunities. The internships combine working on a ropes course, with workshops and office duties as well as additional outdoor adventure trips like whitewater rafting, camping and more!
They are looking for young people between 15 - 20 years of age who are adventurous, want to work outside, are good in front of groups and are looking to develop their leadership skills.
