WHAT DO AMBASSADORS DO?

The Museum Ambassador Program trains teens to become empowered museum and art teachers. Ambassadors go into the San Francisco community to teach art projects as well as give tours through the collection to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. 

PERKS of BEING AN AMBASSADOR

  • Develop Museum and Art Educator skills
  • Teach elementary students
  • Improve public speaking and facilitation skills in a supportive environment
  • Learn about Mesoamerican Art (Mexico, Central America)
  • Official de Young Museum employee status

Applicant Qualifications

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS are:

  • Currently enrolled in grades 9–12 
  • In good academic standing
  • Interested in teaching and working in a team
  • Able to commit a significant number of Saturdays and after school time for the 2016–2017 academic year
